Delta State, Nigeria – March 15, 2024 – The Oke Umurhohwo Foundation (OUF) proudly announces the successful completion of its inaugural “Bloom Project,” dedicated to empowering widows and single mothers in the Ufouma community, Ughelli, Delta State.
The Bloom Project, held on March 15, 2024, was designed to provide essential resources and financial literacy to 25 widows and single mothers, helping them embark on a path to renewed hope and self-sufficiency. This initiative is a testament to OUF’s commitment to promoting social inclusion and economic empowerment.
Under the meticulous guidance of Oluwakemi Adegoke, an executive at OUF, the project involved months of careful planning and coordination. The event provided participants with much-needed food items and financial literacy sessions. These sessions, led by experienced facilitators, equipped the women with practical skills for effective financial management, enabling them to make informed decisions about their economic futures.
Oluwakemi Adegoke expressed her excitement about the project’s impact, stating, “Our aim is to equip these women with the tools they need to navigate their financial journey confidently. Seeing their resilience and courage fills me with immense admiration and humility.”
Hon. Oke Umurhohwo, representing the Foundation, extended heartfelt gratitude to all supporters, volunteers, and donors who contributed to the project’s success.
