Ughelli, Delta State, 12th September 2022 – In a heartfelt gesture aimed at improving educational opportunities for young students, Hon. Oke Umurhohwo visited Ujode Primary School in his hometown of Ujode, Ughelli North local government area, to donate essential writing materials. This marks the inaugural edition of the Back to School campaign, a significant initiative by the Oke Umurhohwo Foundation.
During his visit, Hon. Umurhohwo expressed his deep concern over the conditions of the school and reaffirmed his commitment to prioritizing education. “The conditions of things here have further strengthened my resolve to focus heavily on education as one of our cardinal objectives. As many pupils and students as possible will be given the opportunity to attend schools in decent classes with the basic requirements of books, school bags, and uniforms,” he stated.
On behalf of Hon. Umurhohwo, Comr. Egbinine Daniel Enomate presented the donated writing materials to the headmistress of Ujode Primary School. The donation includes a substantial number of books, which are expected to significantly enhance the learning experience of the pupils.
